A Garden Diary of a 30-something girl living in New Zealand who has been trying to tame her garden with no success. Mainly a Blog to keep information together for her garden and a list of jobs to do each month.
We harvested our pineapple the other day. It was sweet and juicy although we weren't too sure when to pick it. We waited until it was yellowing and then it came off it's stalk quite easily. Sophie is going to plant the top to try and make another plant. Further news about this will follow.
We got rain today, so the temperature was a little bearable around 24. The garden is looking better now the oasis has benn turned into a crop circle LOL. Much bigger. You can see the chickens like eating the grass seed which didn't grow and they also like dust bathing in the patchy earth.
This "pot" is at my friends house Jane. A tree stump was hollowed out and then a plant potted in it. Interesting idea. The cacti in this picture were included for Stuart who just 'loves' them.
